Old Bhai Bhai Shop

Our shop, which everyone calls Old Bhai Bhai Shop, sits right in the middle of Village Nandi Sahi Jhola Sahi. If you are looking for us, we are on Pokhari Road, which is pretty easy to find since we are quite near the HDFC Bank. That bank is a good landmark for people who aren't from around here. We have been in this spot for a long time, and the building shows its age a little bit, but it does the job. Inside, the shelves are crowded with all sorts of things that people in the village might need throughout the week. It is a bit of a squeeze when more than three people come in at once. My brother and I run the place, and we spend a lot of our time just moving boxes around or sweeping the dust that blows in from the road. The traffic on Pokhari Road can get loud, especially with the buses going past. We don't have a website or anything fancy, we just write down what we sell in a big ledger book. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use candles, which makes the shop look even older. We know almost everyone who walks through the door by their first name. It is a simple life here, just selling everyday items and talking to the neighbors while the day goes by slowly.
