You’ll find us in Juna, which is part of the Marshaghai area in Kendrapara. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the bigger cities in Orissa, but we like it here. The pace is slower than the big hubs. We do our work in a simple building that serves its purpose well enough. There are no flashing lights or big corporate logos on the walls. It’s mostly just the sound of tools and people talking about what needs to be fixed or built. We deal with various technical jobs that keep the local area going. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just life in a rural spot. We know all the families around here and often stop to chat when we’re headed home. It’s a small operation, but we take it seriously. We don’t use any fancy talk to describe what we do. We just get the parts, put them together, and hand them over. The air is a bit cleaner out here than in the city, which is a nice bonus. We’ve got our routine down and it suits us. If you stop by, you’ll probably see us sitting on the porch during lunch. It’s a humble way to make a living, and we’re fine with that. We just take things as they come and try to be helpful to the folks in the village.
