Kannan & Company

Kannan & Company has its shop at 8 OMR Road in Kelambakkam right where the city starts to stretch out a bit more. The OMR is always full of cars and buses zooming past but our place feels a bit more grounded than all that speed. We have been operating out of this building for years and the walls have seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood. It started as a small venture and we just kept adding things as we went along. The front of the shop is where we keep the most common items and the back is a bit of a maze of storage and old crates. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website because most of our customers are people who drive past or live in the nearby apartments. They stop in because they know we are here and they can get what they need without a lot of fuss. The air is often a bit dusty from the road construction and the wind but we just sweep it out and keep going. We have an old desk where we do all the billing and a couple of chairs that have seen better days for anyone who wants to sit and talk. It is a straightforward business and we don't try to pretend we are some giant corporation. We are just a local company doing our thing on the OMR every day of the week.
