Entekada Supermarket

Entekada Supermarket is located at Building No- 575 in the Ksp 3Rd area. We are very close to Amritapuri, so we see a lot of people coming and going from that direction. It’s a small supermarket but we try to keep a bit of everything on the shelves. My day starts early with checking the fresh stock and making sure the milk and bread have arrived. It can be a bit cramped in here when we have several customers at once, but we make it work. We aren't one of those massive chains with bright lights and uniform shirts. It’s just a regular local shop. Sometimes the fridge breaks down or we run out of a particular item that everyone wants, and we just have to apologize and wait for the next delivery. We spend a lot of time talking to the neighbors and the people visiting the nearby ashram. The building itself is just a standard construction, and we’ve done our best to organize the aisles so people can find what they need. It gets quite humid here, so we keep the fans running all day long. We don't have any fancy mission statements. We just open the doors in the morning and stay until the last customer leaves in the evening. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and counting change, but it’s nice being part of the Entekada community and knowing the regulars by name.
