Shri Gayatri Traders

We are tucked away in Office No-204 inside the Shivdarshan Society. It is in the Kevali Vadi area of Jamnagar, right across from Mehul Nagar and near the Telephone Exchange. It is a decent spot, though finding the right entrance to the society can be a bit tricky the first time you come. We are on the second floor. It is a small office with enough room for a couple of desks and some filing cabinets. Most of our trading happens over the phone or through people we’ve known for years. Jamnagar is a busy city and the area around the Telephone Exchange is always moving. We have a window that looks out over the street, so we can see what is going on. Shri Gayatri Traders is basically just us doing our daily rounds. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a lobby with a receptionist. You just walk in and we talk. Sometimes the stairs are a bit much if you are carrying boxes, but we manage. We handle all sorts of goods, depending on what is in demand. The days can be long when the market is fluctuating, but we’ve gotten used to the pace over the years. We take our lunch breaks together and try to keep things simple. If you are in Kevali Vadi, just look for the Shivdarshan building. We are usually there from morning until late afternoon, unless we are out meeting someone. The clock on the wall is five minutes fast, but it helps us stay ahead of the schedule.
