Kalpana Cement Brick Industry

Out here in Husnuru Village, near the Teachers Colony, we’ve got our setup for Kalpana Cement Brick Industry. It’s a quiet enough area, which is good for us because we need the space to let the cement bricks cure properly. We don’t do the old clay style; we focus on the cement ones because that’s what a lot of people are asking for lately. The process is a bit different, involves more mixing and less fire. We’ve got a couple of machines that help with the molding, but there’s still plenty of lifting involved. My brother and I usually handle the main tasks, and we have a few helpers from the village when things get busy. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just the piles of bricks sitting out near the road. People living in the Teachers Colony often stop by to see how we’re doing. We aren't trying to change the world or anything like that. We just want to make a decent product that won't crumble when someone builds a wall with it. The water supply can be a bit tricky sometimes, but we make it work. It’s a lot of standing around in the sun, but we’re used to it by now.
