Santosh Mega Mart-Sahara Q Shop

Our mart is located right at Gandhi Chauraha in the Govind Nagar area of Koraon. If you’re around Allahabad and find yourself in Korawan, you’ll probably pass by the square where we are. We called it Santosh Mega Mart-Sahara Q Shop, though we aren't as huge as the name might make you think. We just have a good amount of space to keep the things people in this town need. The area around Gandhi Chauraha is always lively, so there’s never a dull moment looking out the front window at the traffic. Inside, the aisles are filled with everything from soap to snacks and pulses. We spend a lot of time moving things around to make more room when a big shipment arrives. There isn't a lot of polish to the way we do things. We just use old-fashioned ledgers and try to keep everything in order as best we can. Sometimes the floor gets muddy when it rains outside, and we have to keep a mop handy all day to stop people from slipping. We know the people who live nearby and they know us. There’s no big corporate strategy here, just a group of us working to keep the place running. We stay open late most nights because that’s when people usually realize they’ve run out of something at home. It’s just a normal shop for normal people in a busy part of town, and we plan to stay here for a while.
