Dalmia Refractory Ltd.

Our place is located at Plot No. 8 and 13 in Phase-3 of the Lamtara Industrial Area. It is a busy part of the zone with trucks coming and going all the time. We work with refractories, which basically means we deal with materials that can handle a lot of heat. The yard is usually full of stacks of bricks and bags of raw materials waiting to be processed. It gets quite dusty around here, especially when the wind picks up across the industrial plots. A small crew handles the ovens and the molding. Most of the guys have been working here for years and know the smell of the kiln by heart. It is not the cleanest job in the world, but it is solid work. Starting early, usually before the sun is up, helps beat the worst of the heat inside the sheds. Folks are usually out there in boots and gear, moving pallets around with the old forklift. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we spend the whole afternoon covered in grease trying to fix it. We do not have a fancy office; it is mostly just a desk and some chairs where we handle the paperwork for the shipments. We send our stuff out to factories all over, but our daily life is right here in Phase-3. It is loud, hot, and there is always something that needs stacking or moving. We just keep on going with our daily schedule.
