Om Cyber Cafe

Om Cyber Cafe is located right at the Junction. It’s an easy place to find if you’re in the area and need to get online. We have a row of computers that have seen a lot of use over the years. People come in for all sorts of reasons—some to print out forms for the government, others to check their emails or look for jobs. The chairs aren't the most comfortable in the world, but they do the job for an hour or two. We keep the place running even when the internet gets slow or a printer jams up, which happens more often than we’d like. It’s usually a bit dim inside to help people see the screens better. We started this cafe because not everyone has a computer or a printer at home, and they need a place to get things done. We also sell a few small things like pens or paper if someone needs them for their documents. It’s a quiet place for the most part, though sometimes it gets loud when a group of kids comes in. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just want to make sure the computers work and the ink doesn't run out in the middle of a print job. We’ve been at the Junction for a while now and we know many of the regulars who stop by. It’s just a basic service for the neighborhood.
