Maa General Store

Maa General Store is situated in Ward No.15 in Patan, right beside the Kali Mandir on the Main Road. Being near the temple means we see a lot of folks coming and going for their prayers. We are also very close to the Government Boys School, so we get many students dropping in for snacks or school supplies during their breaks. The shop is not very large, but we pack it with all the essential things like groceries, soap, and biscuits. The sound of the temple bells is something we hear every day, and it makes the atmosphere feel peaceful despite the busy road outside. We have been here for a long time, and the people in the neighborhood know us well. It is just a small family business. We don't have any big flashy signs or marketing. People just walk in because they know we have what they need for their kitchens. Sometimes the street gets very dusty from all the traffic going through Patan, so we have to clean the jars and counters quite often. We stay open until late in the evening so people can pick up things on their way home from work. It is a simple life running this store. We don't do anything special, just provide the basic stuff for the local community. The heat in Jabalpur is tough, but we manage with a small fan.
