Aggarwal Rice Mill

Our mill is located in Gram Bakal, right in the Katni district, and we are very close to the local railway station. Being near the tracks is useful, though the trains can be quite loud when they pass by while we are working. We have been milling rice here for a long time, and the building definitely shows its age. Inside, the air is thick with the smell of grain and the constant hum of the machines. We work with farmers from all around the area who bring their paddy to us for processing. It’s a busy place, especially after the harvest, with bags of rice stacked up nearly to the ceiling. We don't have a big corporate structure; it’s just a local operation where everyone knows how to fix the equipment when it stops. The floors are always dusty, and there is usually a cat or two hanging around the grain. We keep things pretty simple and don't spend money on fancy signs or advertising. Most people know where we are and just show up when they have a load to drop off or pick up. We spend our days managing the husking and making sure the bags are weighed correctly. Sometimes the power is a bit patchy, which can slow us down, but we just deal with it. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from dawn until we close the gates at night.
