National Footwear And National Communication

Station Road is always the busiest place in town, and that is exactly where we are. We have a bit of a dual setup here with National Footwear and National Communication. On one side, we have shoes and sandals stacked up to the ceiling, and on the other, we handle mobile phones and recharges. It is a bit of a mix, but it works because people coming from the station usually need one or the other. The shop is narrow and we have to make use of every inch of space we have. It gets really crowded in the evenings when everyone is heading home from work. You will hear us talking to customers about shoe sizes while someone else is asking about a data pack. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of big ceiling fans that struggle against the heat. There is no fancy display window, just the stock we have out for people to see. We have been on Station Road for a long time, so we know most of the commuters by face if not by name. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming with the noise from the trains and the buses, but we like the energy of the crowd. It is a simple business, run by a few of us who just want to provide what the local people need every day.
