Anjana Food Industries

We are located right near the D.A.V. School in Barari, not far from the post office. Anjana Food Industries started out small and we've stayed pretty much that way since the beginning. We make various food products right here in the back of the building. During the school rush, the road gets really crowded with kids and parents, so we try to get our big deliveries out early. It's a family-run thing mostly. My uncle handles the sourcing and I look after the packaging. We don't have any big advertisements or a website that we update. Most people find us because they live in the neighborhood or saw our sign near the post office while mailing something. The building is a bit old, and we keep meaning to paint the front door, but we never seem to find the time between orders. We use local ingredients whenever we can get them at the right price. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink tea, other days we are working late into the night to finish a batch. It’s not always easy, especially when the machines act up or the weather gets too humid for the food. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay busy. It’s a decent living and we know our neighbors well. There’s a cat that hangs around the entrance expecting snacks, and we usually oblige him when we have a break.
