Shemrock Little Cherubs

This is our school on College Road in Ward No-1, Kathua. It's mostly for the younger kids, the little ones who are just starting out. The building has some bright paint on the walls to make it look a bit more welcoming. We have several rooms set aside for the different age groups. Every morning is a bit of a scramble when the toddlers arrive, but we somehow manage to get everyone settled in. We’ve got some basic toys and mats on the floor for them. The staff here has to be very patient because small children can be a handful at the best of times. We spend the day doing simple things like drawing, singing songs, and learning the alphabet. It’s not a huge, sprawling campus. You can find us easily if you're walking down the road toward the college. We keep the front door closed tight so no one wanders out into the street. There’s a small area in the back where they can play outside when the weather isn't too cold. Kathua weather changes quite a bit throughout the year, so we just adapt. We don't have any fancy mission statements or promotional slogans. We just look after the kids until their parents come back at noon or one o'clock to take them home. It’s a busy little spot during the weekdays. We've been here for some time now and most people in the local neighborhood know who we are and what we do.
