You can find us in Ward Number 8 in Basohli, which is in the Kathua district. We operate out of the premises of Ashok Kumar, who is the son of the late Sh. Charan Dass. Our company is called Kyasc Basholi Pashmina Artisans Producer Company Limited. As the name says, we are a group of local artisans who work with pashmina. Basohli has a long history of this kind of work, and we are just trying to keep it going. It’s not a corporate office with a lobby or a receptionist. It’s a place where we gather to manage the production and look after the business side of things. We spend a lot of time talking with the different artisans and making sure the pashmina is being handled correctly. It’s a community-based setup. We don't use any fancy marketing language or make big promises. We just focus on the craft and the people who make it. Kathua is our home, and we like being based in Ward 8 because it’s a quiet place where we can get things done without too many distractions. We don’t have a big sales team. It’s just us doing the work. Some days are long, especially when we have a lot of orders to sort out, but it’s honest work. We are proud to be part of the artisan tradition here in Basohli and we just keep at it day by day.
