Akkey Singh Travel Club

Akkey Singh Travel Club is a small local spot in Katangi where we handle all the daily bookings and plans. The office is right on a main street so we see everyone walking to the market. We have posters of different places on the walls, but some of them are starting to curl at the edges because of the humidity. There is a large desk where we keep the computer and the phone, which seems to ring at the most inconvenient times. Katangi is a quiet town for the most part so we know most of the people who stop by for a chat. We have a wooden bench for people to sit on while they wait. The floor is made of stone and stays cool even when the sun is beating down outside. We usually keep the door open to let the air circulate, even if it means some flies get in. We spend a lot of time looking at maps and checking schedules on the screen. It is a slow process sometimes but we don't mind the pace. We have a small drawer where we keep all the receipts and pens. In the afternoons, things get very quiet and we might just sit and watch the street for a bit. It is not a high-pressure environment at all. We just help folks get where they need to go and keep our records straight in our little corner of Katangi.
