Shivay Traders

You can find Shivay Traders on Station Road. We are right near the Chhada Complex, which is a big landmark around here. Being near the station means there is always a lot of noise and people rushing by. Our shop is a busy place too. We trade in various goods, mostly hardware and some electrical supplies. It’s a lot of lifting and moving boxes all day long. The floor is concrete and usually has some dust on it from the cement bags. We aren't a big showroom. It’s more of a warehouse style where everything is stacked high. My brother and I started this business. We’ve had some tough months, especially when the rains are heavy and the road gets flooded. But we stay open. Customers come in looking for specific parts or tools. We don't have a fancy catalog. We just show them what we have on the shelves. It’s an honest way to make a living. We know most of the contractors and builders in the area. They stop by for a chat and to pick up their supplies. The office part is just a small desk in the corner with a calculator and a phone. We don't bother with social media or anything like that. If people need us, they know where the shop is on Station Road. We stay until the last train of the evening usually passes by. It’s a long day but we are used to it.
