This business is run out of a place in Kashipur, which is in the U.S. Nagar district of Uttarakhand. Specifically, we are behind the Sushila Hotel on Moradabad Road, in the Bank Colony. The name mentions Jaipur because that’s where some of the connections are, but the actual daily work happens right here in our home-based setup. Shweta Singh and the rest of the family keep things moving. It’s not a factory with hundreds of workers; it’s more of a personal operation where we handle exports. We have rooms filled with fabric samples and finished garments. Being in Kashipur means we are a bit away from the main industrial hubs, but we manage just fine. The address is quite a mouthful to give to delivery drivers, so we often tell them to just look for the hotel first. We spend a lot of time checking the stitching and making sure everything looks right before it gets packed up. The Moradabad Road can get quite busy with trucks, but our corner in Bank Colony stays relatively peaceful. We don’t have a big staff, mostly just family and a couple of local people who help out when an order is due. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy through the seasons. We just take things one day at a time and focus on getting the exports out on schedule from our little spot in Uttarakhand.
