Maya Coffee

If you are driving along the Kasaragod - Kannur Road, you might see the Bisimillah Complex. We are up on the first floor at number 24. Maya Coffee has been in this building for a bit. It’s not the biggest space, but it works for what we do. The stairs can be a bit steep if you aren't expecting them. Most of the time we are just busy with the bags and the smell of coffee everywhere. It gets loud with the traffic outside from the main road sometimes. Being on the first floor means we see a lot of what’s happening down on the street. Our routine is pretty set by now. Early mornings are usually the busiest time for us to get things organized. The complex has a few other shops too, so there is always someone coming or going. We don’t really do much in the way of decorating. It’s mostly just practical stuff inside. We focus on the work. People who know the Kasaragod - Kannur Road area usually find us okay. It’s a busy stretch of road and we are right in the middle of it. Sometimes the power goes out and we just wait it out. That's life here. We just keep moving along and doing our thing day after day. It’s a simple setup at Maya Coffee, nothing too complicated. We just show up and do the work. There isn't much more to say about it than that, really.
