We work out of Didma House. It’s in a place called Bombrana, which is near Kumbala in Kasargode. This part of Kerala is quite green and quiet compared to the big cities. We handle construction projects around here. The office is basically a house where we keep our files and meet clients. It’s a family-style environment. We don't have fancy signs or a big lobby. People usually find us through word of mouth in the village. Most of our projects are local houses or small commercial spots. The rain during the monsoon really slows things down, so we have to plan around that. We’ve been doing this for a few years now. We know the local masons and carpenters. It’s a small community, so everyone knows who is doing what. We don't make big promises or use corporate talk. We just show up at the site, check the progress, and make sure things are moving along. Sometimes supplies are hard to get out here, so we have to drive quite a bit to fetch them. It’s a lot of driving and talking to people. We just want to finish the work we started so we can move on to the next one. It’s a decent way to make a living and we stay busy with it throughout the year. Most of the time we are just out on the sites instead of being in the office anyway.
