Sai Books

Sai Books is located at number 56 here in Cheemeni. It’s a quiet enough area most of the time, though it picks up on certain days of the week. We’ve been running this bookshop for a bit now, and it’s basically what you’d expect from a local spot. We have rows of books that we try to keep organized, though sometimes they end up in the wrong spots when people are browsing through them. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just shelves and books. We carry school books for the kids and some other things for the adults to read. A lot of the people who come in are our neighbors, so we spend a lot of time chatting about the weather or what’s happening in town while they look for what they need. It’s not the kind of place where you have to hurry. You can take your time. Sometimes the dust gets on the top shelves, so we spend the slower afternoons wiping things down and moving stock around to make room for new arrivals. We aren't a big chain, just a small shop in Cheemeni trying to provide what people are looking for. We open the shutters in the morning and stay until the evening. It’s a simple life, and we enjoy being part of the community here. If someone needs something specific, we do what we can to help them find it, even if it’s not on the shelf that day.
