Neelkamal Books

Neelkamal Books is located at number 9 on Raja Road in Nileshwar. It is a small place in a quiet part of town, though Raja Road can have its busy moments. We have been here for a long time, just taking care of the books and the shop. The building is a bit old, and the shelves have seen better days, but they hold the books up just fine. We don't have a lot of space, so we have to be careful about what we bring in. Most of the people who come here are locals who have been living in Nileshwar for years. We know their names and what kind of things they like to read. The days are mostly steady. We open the doors in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the first person to walk in. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when it is quiet and watch the people going up and down Raja Road. It is a simple life and we don't ask for much more. The shop has a particular smell, a mix of old paper and the rain when it hits the street outside. We aren't a big chain or anything like that. It is just Neelkamal Books, a small spot where you can find something to read without any fuss. We just keep doing what we have always done, one day at a time.
