Vittal Cashew Industries

Vittal Cashew Industries is located over in Kanhangad. Our place is in Gajananda Chambers, which is right near the Sai Mandir. If you live around Hosdurg, you have probably walked past us many times. It is a very typical Kerala location with lots of greenery and that humidity that stays with you all day. We deal with cashews, which means getting the raw nuts in, sorting them, and getting them ready for sale. The smell of the nuts is quite strong and it is something you just get used to after working here for a while. It is a lot of manual labor, with people carefully checking the quality of the kernels by hand. We are not some high-tech automated factory; it is more of a traditional setup where knowing what a good nut looks like matters more than machines. The Sai Mandir nearby is a useful landmark for anyone trying to find us. Gajananda Chambers is an older building, but it works fine for what we need. We have bags of cashews stacked up in the storage rooms and the office is just a couple of desks where we handle the bills and paperwork. It is a steady, quiet business. We do not spend time on marketing or trying to look bigger than we are. We just focus on the cashews and making sure the weights are correct. It is what we have always done here in Kasaragod.
