We are located up in Kasargod, specifically at the Akkara Guest House in Kottikulam. Our address is a bit of a mouthful—XVI/485, Pallikkere Village, Hosdurg Taluk. Most people just know us as the place near Bekal. We’ve been running Bekal-Akkara Resorts for a while now. It’s a beautiful part of the world, even if it’s a bit far for some folks to travel to. We aren't a big chain or a franchise. We are just local people managing this guest house and the resort activities. Kasargod has a different feel than the rest of Kerala, and we try to keep that in our place. It’s more laid back and quiet here. We spend our mornings checking on the rooms and making sure the garden isn't getting overgrown. The sea is close by, so the salt air can be tough on the buildings, meaning we always have something to paint or fix. It’s a lot of work keeping an old guest house going. We don't have a big corporate office with computers everywhere. Our desk is right there in the guest house where we can see people coming and going. We like to talk to our guests and hear where they are from. We don't have any fancy mission statements or marketing plans. We just want to provide a good bed and a quiet night for travelers.
