Pooja Pustak Bhandar

Pooja Pustak Bhandar is located at G. K. Bhat Hosmane, Car-Street, Gokarn, Tq: Kumta, Dist. Uttara Kannanda, and we have been here for years. It is right in the heart of the town. Being on Car-Street means we are right where all the action happens, especially during festival times when the crowds come through. We have been here for a long time, and the building has been part of the family for years. It is a traditional kind of setup, nothing like the modern shops you see in the big cities. We have books and other items stacked up everywhere. The air in Gokarn has a certain feel to it, and we are lucky to be right in the middle of it. We do not have a big staff or a corporate office. It is just us managing the store and talking to the locals and the travelers who stop by. Sometimes the rain in Dist. Uttara Kannanda, is so heavy we have to move things away from the door, but we manage. We do not go in for fancy advertising. People know where we are, and they know our name. We just keep the doors open and do our work day in and day out on Car-Street. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a small fan that keeps us cool. We enjoy the pace of life here and wouldn't want to be anywhere else but G. K. Bhat Hosmane.
