Twins

Our shop, Twins, is located at No. 24 Sardar Patel Road in Adyar. It’s a very well-known road, so there’s always a lot of traffic and people walking by. We have a decent-sized space, but it fills up quickly with all the stock we keep. The air conditioning is usually running because the Chennai heat can be pretty intense. We spend our days helping people who come in and keeping the shelves tidy, though they never stay that way for long. Adyar is a nice area, and we like being part of the neighborhood. We’ve seen the shops around us change over the years, but we’ve stayed right here. Our team is small, and we don’t really go for anything too polished. We just use old-fashioned ledgers for some things and computers for others. The back room is where we keep the extra stock, and it’s a bit of a maze in there. You have to watch your step so you don’t trip over a crate or a box. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just want to make sure the work gets done and the bills are paid on time. It’s a practical way to run a business. We mostly just talk to our regulars and handle the day-to-day stuff as it comes. Sometimes it gets a little overwhelming when it’s busy, but we manage to get through the day somehow. It’s just us doing our thing on a busy road.
