The Standard Textiles

The Standard Textiles is located in Balaji Nagar, over in the Semmadai area. It is a pretty straightforward spot to get to. We are surrounded by other small businesses and houses. It feels like a very grounded part of town. The building we are in is just a regular brick and concrete structure without any frills. We keep things very simple here. There is a large area where we handle all the textile materials. The floors are a bit scuffed up from moving things around all the time, but that is fine. We don't spend money on fancy furniture because we are mostly on our feet anyway. The weather in Semmadai can be a bit harsh, but the building stays relatively cool with the fans on. We have a small crew and we all know what needs to be done. We don't have many meetings or long discussions. We just get to it in the morning and keep going until the day is done. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps during lunch and watch the bikes go by. It is a quiet existence for the most part. We have been in Balaji Nagar long enough that we know the guys at the local shops nearby. It is a good community. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay out of the way. It is nothing more than a local textile spot run by people who live nearby and work hard.
