Subarnaa Fabrics

Subarnaa Fabrics is based at 30-A in Gowripuram, which is part of K.S.R. Nagar. It’s a fairly quiet neighborhood compared to the main market areas. Our building is just a simple structure where we keep all our fabric stock. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the smell of the cloth and maybe a bit of dust in the air. We have rolls of material stacked up almost to the ceiling in some parts. It isn't a fancy boutique with mannequins or bright spotlights. It’s more like a warehouse where we manage the inventory. We spend our days measuring out lengths of fabric and packing them up for our customers. The lighting isn't the best, but we have some big overhead fans to keep the air moving when it gets hot. We are just a small crew here. We know our regulars by name and we don't really use any formal scripts when we talk to people. If someone needs a specific type of fabric, we just go back and look for it until we find it. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy bolts of cloth and moving things around to make space. We don't have any big slogans or anything like that. We just sell fabrics and try to stay organized enough to find what we need when the orders come in.
