Sree Lotus Exports

Sree Lotus Exports is based at 238 Mahathmagandhi Road in Vaiyapurinagar. We are in the Sengunthapuram area, which is a busy part of town for businesses like ours. Our daily life involves a lot of packing and weighing boxes. The office part of the building is just a small section with a few chairs and a large table where we sort through the export documents. It’s usually a bit noisy with the sound of tape dispensers and the local traffic outside. We have to be very careful with the paperwork for the post office, so there’s a lot of double-checking. The walls are mostly bare except for a calendar and a map. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations because we’d rather have more space for the goods. The staff here has been together for a while, so we don't need to say much to get the job done. We know the routine. In the afternoons, the sun hits the front of the building and it gets quite warm inside. We usually have a few fans going to keep the air moving. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We wear comfortable shoes because we are on our feet most of the time. When a big shipment finally goes out, there is a sense of relief. Then we just start on the next one. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
