Pmm Textiles

We are located at 47 New Street. We still use our P.O. Box 118 for a lot of our mail because it's easier that way. The shop is right on the street, so we see everyone walking past. It's a simple setup with rows of fabric on wooden racks. Some of the racks are getting a bit old and they creak when you pull a heavy roll off them. We don’t have any bright neon signs or anything to grab attention. People usually find us by word of mouth or they just happen to be walking by on New Street. The floor is tile and it’s a bit cracked in the entrance, but it’s held up for years. We spend most of our time helping customers find the right color or weight of cloth. We don’t do fancy marketing. We just show what we have in stock. Sometimes we run out of a certain type and have to wait for the next delivery. That's just how it goes. The back room is where we keep the extra stock and it's a bit of a maze back there. We know our way around, though. It's a quiet life for the most part, just steady work. We like the neighborhood and the people who come in. It’s a honest way to spend the day here at Pmm Textiles.
