Lakshmi Plastics

Lakshmi Plastics is tucked away at 50-D South Madavilagam Street right along the Old Water Tank Line Road. It’s a busy little area and we’ve been here for a good while now. Our shop is filled with all kinds of plastic items that people use every day in their kitchens or bathrooms. You’ll find buckets stacked up and containers of all sizes sitting on the shelves. It’s not the most organized place in the world because we get new stock in all the time and just try to find a spot for it. Most of our customers are locals who live nearby and just need a new stool or some storage bins. The road outside is usually quite dusty so we spend a fair bit of time wiping down the items. We don’t have a big team or anything like that just a couple of us helping out whoever comes in. Sometimes the shop feels a bit small when we have a big delivery arrive and there are boxes everywhere. We don’t do much advertising because people just know where we are by now. If you need something practical for the house we usually have it buried somewhere in a corner. It’s a straightforward business and we don't try to make it seem like more than it is. We just open the shutters in the morning and stay until the sun goes down.
