Kanara Crafts

You can find Kanara Crafts at Kanara House, which is located at number 90 on the Salem Bye Pass Road in Periakulathupalayam. Being on the bye pass means there is a lot of dust and noise from the trucks going past all day long. It isn't the quietest spot to work, but it makes it easy for people to find us. The building itself is a sturdy old thing that has seen better days, but it keeps the rain off our heads and gives us enough room to keep our supplies. We spend a lot of time just moving things from one corner to another to make space for new projects. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, so we usually have a couple of old ceiling fans rattling away to keep the air moving. We aren't much for decorations or fancy signs. Most people just know us as the place at number 90. The crew here is small, and we’ve all been working together for a long time, so we don't really need to say much to get the job done. Sometimes a customer will wander in off the road and stay for a bit to see what we are up to. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the crafts. It's a honest way to spend the day, even if it gets a bit tiring by five o'clock.
