Fashion Leather

We started this place in Puthu Kanjamoor Uppidamgalam Post because we knew how to work with our hands and leather was what we had. It is not a fancy studio with air conditioning or glass walls. It is a real workshop where the floors are covered in scrap pieces and the smell of raw hides is always in the air. We spend our days cutting, stitching, and dyeing. My hands are usually stained dark by the end of the week. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have lived here all our lives. If you come by, you might see us sitting on low stools working on a stack of belts or some simple bags. We don't use heavy machinery for everything. A lot of the work is still done with hand tools that have been around for years. The post office is nearby, so we see people coming and going all day. Sometimes the weather gets really hot and the leather gets stiff, so we have to adjust how we work. We don't make anything flashy. It is just basic stuff that people can actually use every day. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just find us by word of mouth or by seeing the sign outside. We try to finish things on time, but if a job is tricky, it takes as long as it takes. That is just how we do things here.
