Balaji Fabriccs

Balaji Fabriccs is tucked away at 117-I in Kamarajapuram North. We’ve been here for a good while now, mostly dealing with different kinds of cloth and textiles that people need for their shops or small tailoring units. If you walk into our place, you’ll see piles of fabric everywhere. It’s not fancy or anything, just rolls of material stacked up on shelves and sometimes on the floor when a big shipment comes in. My uncle started this whole thing years ago when this area was much quieter than it is today. Now, there’s always noise from the street outside, but inside we just keep busy cutting and measuring. We don't really do big advertisements. Most people find us because they know someone who bought from us before. We try to keep things simple. If a customer needs a specific weight or color, we look through the inventory to see if we have it. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it goes here. The staff is mostly locals who live nearby and walk to work. We know each other's families and what’s happening in the neighborhood. It’s a small operation, really. We handle the orders as they come, make sure the packing is decent enough so things don't get dirty during transport, and that’s about it. We’re just regular folks trying to run a shop and keep the lights on.
