Annapoorna Store

We have been running this shop at 32, Karur Main Road for quite a few years now. It’s right here in Vellottamtaraccu, so most of the neighbors just walk over when they run out of something in the kitchen. The place isn’t very big, and honestly, it can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of bags delivered on Monday mornings. We keep the usual staples like rice, lentils, and soaps on the shelves. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, and the front door sticks if it has been raining, but we don't mind. My cousin usually handles the counter in the afternoon while I go out to check on stock. We aren't trying to be some big supermarket. It is just a regular store where you can get what you need without a fuss. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. If we don’t have something you want, we usually try to get it in the next week. The traffic outside on the main road never really stops, but inside it stays pretty quiet most of the day. We keep the lights on until late evening for the folks coming back from work. It’s a simple way to make a living and we like being part of the street. Nothing fancy here, just us and the stuff we sell every day.
