Raj Clay Magic is over at 35G/1. It’s a small place where we spend a lot of time with mud and water. If you walk in, you’ll see shelves full of things drying out. It's a messy process, to be honest. Our hands are almost always covered in clay. We don’t have a fancy sign or a big shop window. It’s just the space at 35G/1 where the work happens. We use the wheel and sometimes we do stuff by hand. It depends on what needs to be made that day. The kiln gets pretty hot, which makes the whole place warm in the afternoons. We aren't a big factory. It’s just a local spot where we make clay items. Sometimes things crack in the oven, and we have to start over. That is just how it goes with pottery. We’ve been at this for a while now. People usually find us by word of mouth or by just stumbling upon the address. It’s a simple setup. We don't use any high-tech gadgets, just our hands and the clay. The floor is usually dusty from the dried earth. We keep the doors open to let the air in. It’s a quiet kind of work, very different from the noise of the city. We just stay here and make what we can from the materials we have on hand. It's just how we spend our days at the workshop.
