Out here in Gandhipuram West, things move at their own pace. Our place is at 7/4-a, near the Sengunthapuram Post area. It’s a quiet part of town compared to the main city, which is nice. We spend our days dealing with all the export stuff. The building is older, but it’s sturdy. We’ve got a lot of boxes stacked up in the back room right now. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a bit muddy, so we have to be careful when the trucks come in to load. Most of the people working here live nearby. We know each other's families and what's going on in the neighborhood. It's not a flashy setup. We have some old wooden desks and the windows stay open most of the time to catch the breeze. The paperwork takes up a lot of time, but we prefer the physical side of things, like looking over what we're sending out. We’ve been doing this for years, so we have a routine that works for us. Usually, we take a long break in the afternoon when it gets too hot. Then we stay a bit later in the evening to finish up. It’s just honest work. We don't try to be anything we aren't. Just a local business in a small corner of the world, getting things ready for the post. It’s been our livelihood for a long time and we like it that way.
