Agaram Academy

Agaram Academy is over in Karur, specifically at No 24A/2 Kamarajapuram East in the Sengunthapuram area. If you know the neighborhood, it is a fairly busy part of town with a lot of houses and small shops packed together. We operate out of a modest building that fits right into the street. It is not a huge campus with sprawling fields, but it serves the purpose for what we do here every day. Most of the people who come to us are from the immediate vicinity. Karur can get very hot during the summer months, so we spend a lot of time making sure the fans are working and the students stay as cool as they can while they are studying. The rooms are filled with desks and chairs that have seen a lot of use over the semesters. We do not spend much money on fancy office furniture or decorations because we would rather just have the basics that work. You will usually find a few cycles parked out front because that is how most of the older kids get here. The atmosphere is generally quiet once the sessions start, aside from the sound of the ceiling fans and someone occasionally sharpening a pencil. We have been in this spot for a while now and most of the neighbors know us by sight. It is a straightforward setup where we just get through the lessons and help the students understand their books without making a big fuss about things.
