It’s a very active area because of all the buses coming and going at all hours. You can usually hear the horns and the people shouting for passengers while we are working inside. We focus on eyes, which means a lot of checking vision and looking at glasses. People come from all over the district since the bus stand is so close. It makes it easy for folks who don't live right in the middle of town to reach us. The building is simple and we’ve tried to make the most of the space we have there in Hengunthaturam. We see a lot of elderly people who have trouble seeing and sometimes younger kids who need their first pair of glasses. It’s a lot of repeat work, but it’s important for the people who come here. We aren't a massive corporate hospital with glass walls. We are just a local eye hospital doing our thing behind the bus station.
