A B S Hospital

We are over at No.161 B/5 in Siva Sakthi Nagar, which is in the northern part of Thanthoni. The hospital is a simple building that fits right into the neighborhood of Thanthonimalai. It’s not a very tall building, but it has enough space for what we do every day. We have a small gate at the front and a bit of space for parking bikes. Inside, the walls are painted a light color and there are benches for people to sit on while they wait for their names to be called. It can get quite hot in the afternoons, so we have fans going all the time. The staff here is mostly local people who have lived in the area for years. We don't have any fancy art on the walls or expensive rugs. It’s just a practical hospital where we keep things simple. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to switch things over, which is just part of living and working here. We see the same faces from the neighborhood quite often. The daily grind involves a lot of writing in ledgers and talking to people who come in with their families. It’s a quiet life compared to the big city hospitals, but we stay busy enough. There’s a little shop down the road where we get our snacks. It's just a normal place for normal people. We just take things one day at a time and do our jobs.
