Applebees Restaurant

Running Applebees Restaurant here in Shimoga has its ups and downs. We are located in the 577201 area of Karnataka, which stays pretty busy most days of the week. It’s not a huge fancy place, just a spot where you can sit down and get something to eat without a lot of fuss. Most of our regulars come from the nearby streets, and we know what they’re going to order before they even sit down. The kitchen gets hot, especially during the dinner rush when everyone decides to show up at once. We spend a lot of time cleaning tables and making sure the floors aren't sticky. It’s hard work, and my hands are usually tired by the end of the shift. We get all kinds of people, from families with loud kids to workers just looking for a quick bite before they head home. Shimoga is a good place to be, even if it gets a bit chaotic sometimes. We don't have a big corporate team telling us what to do every minute; we just run things the way we know how. Sometimes we run out of a certain ingredient and have to make do or run to the market. It’s just how a local kitchen works. We hope the food tastes okay and that people feel full when they leave. That’s really all there is to it. There's usually a stray dog hanging around the back door looking for scraps, and we give him something if there's leftover rice.
