Penna Cements

Over here in Chitradurga, D. Chandra Mohan looks after things for Penna Cements. We are located at the JCR Extension, specifically on the 4th Cross on the west side. It’s a decent spot in town, easy enough to find if you know the area. We mostly deal with local contractors and builders who need materials for their projects. The yard can get a bit cluttered with pallets and bags, but we try to keep some kind of order. It's a hands-on type of business. We don't have a fancy marketing team or a social media manager. Most of our work comes from people who have been buying from us for a long time. The wind can pick up quite a bit in this part of Karnataka, blowing the dust around, but that's just part of the trade. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and making sure the loading crew is ready. It's not a complicated life. We have a small office space where we handle the bills and chat with the customers who walk in. Sometimes we have a laugh, sometimes it's just stressful trying to meet a deadline, but we keep at it. We’re just a local branch doing what we can to support the building going on in Chitradurga. It’s steady, honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. It might not be exciting, but it’s how we make a living and support the local builders.
