M/S. Hindustan Construction Co. Ltd, Mumbai

Our setup is over in Dharwar, at Shreepurna Residency. We are in units 7 and 8. It’s tucked away near the R.S. Mutt on Gowli Galli. If you’re looking for us, you have to find the third cross in Malmaddi. It’s a bit of a maze back there. Even though the company is rooted in Mumbai, this office handles the local construction bits for this region. The office itself is nothing special to look at. We have some sturdy desks and lots of maps and blueprints lying around. It feels like a place where things actually get built. We don’t have a fancy espresso machine or glass walls. We usually just make some tea on a small burner in the back. The neighborhood is quite nice, mostly people who have lived here for a long time. We know the shopkeepers nearby. Construction involves a lot of back-and-forth, so there’s always someone coming or going. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or talk about the current projects. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t use any complicated business jargon. We just talk about concrete, steel, and deadlines. It can get a bit loud when there’s a lot of traffic on the main road, but inside the residency, it’s mostly calm. We like the pace of life here in Karnataka. It’s a good place for us to keep our records and plan our next steps.
