Junior Engg

I am a junior engineer and I work out of a small office in Toop Galli. That is over in Humnabad, which is part of the Bidar district in Karnataka. It’s a quiet place, but we have enough work to keep us on our toes. My day usually starts with checking on the local engineering projects we have going on in the state. I don’t have a fancy title or a big office with air conditioning. It’s mostly just me, my blueprints, and a lot of field visits to see how things are being built. Toop Galli is a narrow lane, but everyone around here knows where to find us if they need some technical help. I grew up in this part of Karnataka, so I know the land and the people pretty well. Engineering in a rural district like Bidar is different from the big cities; you have to be more practical and use what is available. I spend a lot of time on my bike traveling between different sites. The work can be dusty and tiring, but seeing a project get finished makes it worth the effort. We don't have a website or any promotional brochures. People just know my name and where I work. I try to keep the technical stuff simple so everyone understands what’s happening. It’s a basic life, but the engineering work is real and it keeps the community moving forward.
