Hilltown Hotel - Madikeri

You can find us at the Hilltown Hotel - Madikeri, which is located right on College Road. We share the space with Agro Shakthi Enterprises, so it’s a bit of a multi-purpose spot. Madikeri is a beautiful place, but our day-to-day is mostly about the nuts and bolts of running a hotel. It’s a lot of cleaning, checking people in, and making sure the rooms are ready. We aren't one of those five-star resorts with a thousand employees. It’s a smaller team here. We know the regular guests by name. College Road is usually pretty busy with students and local traffic, which keeps things interesting. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy, but that's the charm of being central. We don't have a big marketing department writing fancy brochures. We just tell people we have a bed and a roof. It’s honest and simple. The building has some character to it, being in this part of town. We spend our mornings getting things organized for the day. There's always a leak to fix or a lightbulb that needs changing. It’s hands-on work. We like being in Madikeri because the air is good and the people are friendly. If you’re looking for us, just head towards the college area. We’re usually around the front desk or in the back office sorting out the books. It's a decent way to earn a living.
