Ved Gupta Orthopedic Hospital

Our place is situated on Barsat Road. It’s a pretty busy stretch of road, so there’s always something going on outside with the trucks and cars. The hospital focuses on orthopedic stuff, so we see a lot of people with bandages, casts, or just those who are having a hard time walking around. It’s a functional building, built more for use than for looking pretty to people passing by. Inside, the hallways are wide enough for stretchers and wheelchairs, which is the most important thing for us to manage the patients. We spend a lot of time moving around from room to room throughout the shift. The air always smells a bit like floor cleaner and medicine, which I guess is what you’d expect from a hospital. The staff here is mostly local people who’ve been around for a while. We don't really do much in terms of decoration; there are some charts on the walls about bones and joints, but that’s about it. The rooms have the basic beds and the equipment needed for recovery. It gets loud when the heavy trucks go by on Barsat Road, but you get used to the vibration after a few days of working here. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. People usually come to us because they heard from a neighbor or because we’re the closest place when something goes wrong with a limb. It’s just a hospital doing its job on a busy road.
