Down here on Link Road in Taraori, we spend most of our days dealing with bags and shipping containers. It’s a lot of paperwork and making sure the trucks are loaded right before they head out. Shiv Shakti Inter Globe Exports has been around this area for some time now. We handle a lot of grain, mostly rice since that is what Taraori is known for. The office is usually noisy with the phones ringing and people checking on orders. We aren't trying to be some huge corporate giant. We just want the stuff to get where it’s going without getting stuck at the port or ruined by moisture. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, especially during the monsoon when we have to be extra careful about storage. Our team is small, mostly locals who know the trade. We don't use big words or fancy pitches. If someone needs a shipment, we figure out the logistics and get it moving. It’s a lot of back and forth with the drivers. The yard stays dusty most of the year, but that’s just how it is with this kind of business. We’ve seen the roads change over the years, but the work stays pretty much the same. Just moving things from here to there and hoping the prices stay fair for everyone involved. It’s a lot of lifting and loading, but we are used to the pace of Link Road by now.
