Gv Rice Mills & Export Unit

Our business, Gv Rice Mills & Export Unit, is located at Shop No. 166 in the New Anaj Mandi of Taraori. If you know Taraori, you know the Mandi is the center of everything. Our shop is one of many in the long rows of the market. It’s a busy place, especially when the harvest comes in and the tractors are lined up for miles. We spend our days checking the quality of the rice and talking to the farmers who bring it in. The shop itself is quite plain. We have some wooden benches for people to sit on and a big table where we spread out the rice samples to look at the grains. It gets very dusty in the Mandi, and by the end of the day, everything is covered in a thin layer of husk. We drink a lot of water to keep the dust out of our throats. We handle a lot of the export side of things from this small office, which means a lot of phone calls and checking on the trucks. It’s a high-pressure job during the peak season, and we often stay late into the night under the dim lights of the market. We don't have a fancy corporate office. It's just a place to do business and get the rice moving to where it needs to go. We’ve been part of this Mandi for a long time and it feels like home.
