Our office is right across from the Shiv Mandir in Amritpur. It's a well-known spot in the village, so nobody ever gets lost looking for us. We operate under the care of Shri Saptar Singh. It’s a pretty standard setup for a trading business in Karnal. We spend a lot of our time looking at market prices and talking to suppliers. There isn't much glamour in it, just a lot of phone calls and paperwork. The temple bells ring throughout the day, which is a nice backdrop to the work. We’ve got a couple of rooms where we keep our files and the computers. It gets dusty, especially when the wind picks up outside, but we just wipe the desks down and keep going. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a glass building or fancy suits. We mostly wear what’s comfortable and focus on the trade numbers. Sometimes the local farmers stop by to chat or see what’s happening in the market. We listen and share what we know. It’s a community-based way of doing business. We handle the Comtrade side of things as best as we can from this small VPO address. It’s steady work, and it keeps us connected to the rhythms of Karnal. We take things as they come, whether it's a busy harvest season or a slower period in the winter.
