Shila Doctor

Shila Doctor is over in Amar Kunj Colony, in the Binjhol area of Panipat. The address is 132103. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it feels a bit more private than being on a main highway. We’re tucked away in the colony where it’s mostly quiet, except for the kids playing outside or the occasional delivery truck. We have a small office that we’ve made as comfortable as possible. It isn't a high-tech facility with shiny glass walls. It’s just a regular room with some desks and chairs. We spend a lot of time just talking to the neighbors who come in. Since we’re in Binjhol, we see the same people quite often. We know who has a new baby and who is struggling with their garden. It’s that kind of place. We don’t have a website or big posters. We just rely on people knowing we’re here in Amar Kunj Colony. We keep a simple schedule and try to be available when people need us most. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit in the dark for a bit, but we just keep going. We don’t think of ourselves as anything special. We’re just local people helping other local people. It’s a steady job and we’re glad to be doing it here. If you walk through the colony, you’ll find us easily enough. We’re just part of the neighborhood.
